Canvas is decommissioning the ePortfolio and Portfolium tools in ICON, and all existing electronic portfolios will be deleted. Users who have eportfolios set up with these tools are encouraged to back up existing materials prior to Saturday, May 30, 2026. 

Canvas has instructions for downloading content and deleting your ePortfolio. 

Canvas does have a new Portfolio tool that can be used for in-class portfolios or student showcase portfolios. The tool is under development and will have more features in added in the future. Pressbooks, a publishing platform, is also available for online class portfolio projects. In some cases, it may be best to have students choose their own platforms for projects, so they can continue to access and manage their portfolios after they leave the university.
