The end of the fall semester is quickly approaching. Instructors have three options for submitting final grades to MAUI.

Using the MAUI in ICON function

If you have been maintaining grades in ICON, chances are you can easily send grades to MAUI directly from ICON. You can access the MAUI in ICON from the Navigation menu on the left side of your ICON course.

If you submit grades this way, it’s important to have pop-ups enabled in your browser, as MAUI will open in a new browser window. When you go this route, you will have the option to choose which grades to input as final. The choices are: Current Grade (ungraded assignments have no impact on grade submitted), Final Grade (treats ungraded assignments as zeros) and Gradebook Item (you can choose a column to import.)

Manually entering them into MAUI

If you are submitting grades directly into MAUI, you need to locate the correct list of grades. You will look in My Courses if you are a primary instructor, TA, team teacher, and course supervisor assigned to the course. You should look in Course Grades if you are not the assigned instructor for a course, but an administrative staff or other person who has rights to submit grades.

Uploading a file into MAUI

Submitting grades manually in MAUI allows instructors to select grades for each student using a dropdown menu. If you want to submit grades via a file upload, you’ll need to download and format the file then upload it to MAUI.

Make sure grades are submitted, not just saved. You can save if you need to step away from entering grades and want to finish or review them later, but you will need to submit grades to send them your DEO for approval. Keep an eye on grades progress, when they are approved, they are finished.
