Digital Desk, the current solution for Scantron bubble sheets, will be decommissioned, and the Exam Scoring service will be replaced with Gradescope Bubble Sheets for fall 2024. This change is part of the ITS Office of Teaching, Learning, and Technology’s ongoing commitment to enhance the educational tools offered by the University of Iowa and was made after interviewing instructors, speaking with governance committees, and performing a service review.

Instructors can still use Digital Desk for the spring and summer 2024 semesters. The Copy Center will continue to provide integral support and services to ensure a smooth grading process. The Copy Center will still be available to instructors to pick up Gradescope Bubble Sheets and scan exams.

Gradescope Bubble Sheets is a robust and user-friendly platform that allows for quick, accurate grading of multiple-choice exams, providing detailed analytics that can help improve teaching and learning outcomes.
