Launched in 2025, Note Depot, a centralized note-taking platform in ICON, has helped meet hundreds of student accommodations. We're continuing to improve the experience for instructors and students as well as increasing the quality and accuracy of AI notes.

Designed to simplify access to note-taking resources for students and instructors, it includes LectureAI and the Note Taking Exchange.

In fall 2025, there were 92 courses with 6,041 students using Note Depot. It generated 4,998 AI notes and aided in the exchange of 191 notes by student notetakers, helping to meet 314 student accommodations.

Below is a short list of the improvements we've made since launching the tool:

• Users in the Course Designer or new Undergrad TA roles in ICON can now be selected as notetakers.
• The New Note workflow was updated and an improved text editor added.
• Managing existing notes is now easier, and all notes can be edited, deleted, and restored.
• Instructors can choose to remove links to UICapture videos from AI-generated notes. This allows notes to be generated without sharing the videos themselves.
• In courses where notes are released only to students with accommodations, files can be attached to individual notes. Acceptable formats include PDF, annotated PowerPoint files, and Word documents.
