Are you looking to enhance your teaching strategies and encourage your students to take control of their learning? Join us on Wednesday, March 26, from 2 to 3 p.m. on Zoom for Supporting Metacognition with Technology.

Metacognition, the process of "thinking about one's own thinking," is a crucial skill that lets learners reflect, direct, and control their cognitive processes. By integrating technology, educators can guide students through metacognitive activities that promote effective learning.

Throughout the session, participants will consider the importance of metacognition and how it encourages students to "learn to think" and "think to learn." We’ll also explore the role instructors play in supporting student metacognition through the intentional use of technology.

Attendees will be introduced to Classroom Assessment Tools (CATs), which are short activities designed to promote metacognitive thinking and will learn how these tools can be paired with technology. Various technological tools will be highlighted including ICON, Top Hat, Gradescope, Pressbooks, and more, demonstrating how they can enhance student learning outcomes.

Don’t miss this opportunity. Register now and join us on March 26.
