Student Instructional Technology Assistants (SITA) can work one-on-one with instructors to help them successfully integrate learning technology into your course by:
- They provide technology overviews and trainings for specific tools to help instructors understand how the technology functions in their courses.
- They can review ICON sites to ensure instructors getting the most out of their ICON course sites. They can also help with the ICON Gradebook to make sure that the grading process is efficient and effective.
- SITAs can guide instructors toward other useful resources in the Office of Teaching, Learning, and Technology, ITS, and other campus units that support student success through enhanced teaching and learning practices.
- They can help instructors integrate clickers and multimedia tools into their classrooms to engage students.
- SITAs can brainstorm and research technology options best suited for an instructor's needs.
SITAs are currently-enrolled UI students, so they provide a unique student perspective on technology and its use in the classroom
