This learning space is equipped with an Extron digital touchscreen A/V control panel interface.

  1. To start the A/V system, select a mode by touching the lectern's control panel interface screen.
  2. Remember to shut down the system when finished.

If you encounter an unresponsive A/V control panel interface:

  1. If display is locked appears on the control panel interface, then College of Pharmacy Building room 1110AB is set to broadcast to the College of Pharmacy Building room 110B. This setting must be changed manually in room 110AB.
  2. Check that the video button is not selected.
  3. Restart the interface.

This learning space is equipped with unique room modes that are controlled by the A/V control panel interface. Room modes available in this learning space are normal, advanced, and overflow. 

  • Normal mode provides normal dual monitor multiple screen media lectern functionality with abilities to independently select and display various sources on a single screen. This is the default mode. 
  • Advanced mode provides normal dual monitor triple screen media lectern functionality with abilities to independently select and display various sources on a single screen.
    • To access advanced mode, turn off the mirror option.
  • Overflow mode provides normal mode functionality plus an advanced capability to combine various sources from both room College of Pharmacy 110A and College of Pharmacy 110B into a single learning space.
    • To access overflow mode, touch the overflow button and turn on the broadcast button. Options are to either send content or active camera.

In overflow mode this learning space is equipped with a dual lectern computer monitor and dual projectors/screens.

  1. By default, the A/V system will use the primary computer's monitor.
  2. To view or project alternate sources, such as Solstice, doc cam, or 110A/B overflow in broadcast mode, select the display input selection accordingly on the A/V control panel interface.

If you encounter an unresponsive projector

  1. Check that the mute button is not selected on the interface.

This learning space is equipped with dual lectern computer monitors and multiple projection displays.

  1. By default, the A/V system will use the primary computer's monitor for all displays.
  2. To view or project an alternate source, such as Solstice, doc cam, or HDMI, select accordingly on the A/V control panel interface

If you encounter an unresponsive projector:

  1. Check that the video mute button is not selected on the interface.

This learning space is equipped with a Windows Desktop workstation computer.

  1. Press the space bar on the computer keyboard to view the main display.
  2. Log in with your HawkID and password.
  3. Log out when finished.

If you can't access the computer’s login menu:

  1. Make sure the A/V system is not muted.
  2. Check that the computer monitor is on.
  3. Check that the HDMI/display port cable is connected to the back of the monitor.
  4. Restart the computer.

Computer microphones are typically mounted on media lecterns. 

  1. The lectern microphone is on by default and can be muted on microphone base. Typically, a green light means the microphone is not muted.
  2. The direction of the microphone can be adjusted to accommodate the speaker. 
  3. This room is also equipped with student microphones at each table and can be muted by muting all student microphones on the A/V control panel interface. 

If you encounter a computer microphone that doesn't work:

  1. Select Echo Cancelling Speakerphone (Extron MediaPort200) as audio input device in Zoom, UICapture (Panopto), or Skype applications.
  2. Check that the lectern microphone is not muted.

This learning space is equipped with wireless lavaliere microphones. Wireless microphones provide audio input for the room's speakers and the lectern computer and its Zoom, UICapture (Panopto), and Skype applications.

If you encounter a wireless microphone that doesn't work:

  1. Check the audio mute or wireless mics button on the A/V control panel interface.
  2. Check the microphone display for power and mute.
  3. Check the microphone display for battery replacement. Rechargeable batteries are typically located on the battery charger. Alkaline batteries are typically located in the microphone drawer.
  4. If using rechargeable battery supplies, remember to replace the depleted batteries on the charger.
  5. If nearing the end of the battery supplies, contact the ITS Help Desk for resupply.
  6. Select Echo Cancelling Speakerphone (Extron MediaPort200) as the audio source device in the lectern computer's Zoom, UICapture (Panopto), or Skype applications.

This learning space is equipped with a wall-mounted PTZ camera (front left, front right, or rear). 

  1. Touch the camera control button on the A/V control panel interface to access camera options, including repositioning.
  2. If a user switches from manual to auto under camera control, the A/V system will automatically alternate between cameras depending on which microphone is activated in the room.

If you find a USB camera that doesn't work:

  1. Select Extron MediaPort200 as the camera source in the lectern computer's  Zoom, UICapture (Panopto), or Skype applications. 

This learning space is equipped with in-room audio output from the lectern computer through ceiling-mounted speakers that are controlled with the A/V control panel interface.

  1. The A/V control panel interface has a touchscreen volume buttons. Press volume up to increase the volume, and press volume down to decrease the volume.
  2. Press the audio mute all button on the A/V control panel interface to mute audio.

If you can't produce in-room audio from lectern computer with the A/V system on and not muted:

  1. Check that the computer, device, application, or website audio is not muted. 
  2. Increase the audio level of the computer, device, application, website, or A/V control panel interface. 
  3. Select the Extron HDMI (Intel(R) Display Audio) as the speaker or audio playback source in the lectern computer and its Zoom, UICapture (Panopto), or Skype applications.

This learning space is equipped with a document camera.

  1. Select doc cam as the display input or source on the A/V control panel interface.
  2. The document camera should automatically power on.

If the document camera can't be projected with the A/V system on and not muted and doc cam selected on the A/V control panel interface:

  1. Press the power button on the document camera. Typically, the power button light should turn blue when on.
  2. Check that the output cables are connected.
  3. Toggle the video mute button on the A/V control panel interface.
  4. Restart the A/V system.

This learning space is equipped with an HDMI cable to display an HDMI-capable personal device.

  1. To display a HDMI-capable device, connect the HDMI cable on the media lectern to the personal device's HDMI-port.
  2. Select laptop as the display input or source on the A/V control panel interface.
  3. Not all HDMI adapters work with every device and the A/V system. We recommend testing the HDMI connection in advance.

If you can't produce in-room video or audio through the HDMI with the A/V system on and not muted and laptop selected:

  1. Increase the A/V control panel audio level.
  2. Toggle the video mute or audio mute button on the A/V control panel interface.
  3. Restart the A/V system.

This learning space is equipped with a Solstice wireless collaboration and content sharing platform.

  1. Select Solstice as the source on the A/V control panel interface.

If Solstice can't be projected with the A/V system on and not muted and Solstice selected on the A/V control panel interface:

  1. Contact the ITS Help Desk.

This learning space is equipped with an accessible media lectern with adjustable height capability.
