OTLT has partnered with a new professional captioning vendor, 3Play Media, to provide high-quality captioning and transcription services. This service is available at competitive rates and seamlessly integrates with UICapture. For those seeking human-reviewed and highly accurate captions 3Play Media meets industry standards with 99% accuracy, including speaker labels and non-speech elements.

To begin using professional captioning services, departments or campus groups must create an account with 3 Play Media. There is no centralized billing service for professional captions; individual departments or groups will be responsible for associated costs.

Automatic speech recognition (ASR) captions are available through UICapture, ASR captions are generated quickly by AI, providing a free solution for captioning needs. However, ASR captions typically offer 80% to 95% accuracy and must be reviewed by a person as it often misses non-speech elements, grammar, and punctuation.

UICapture and 3Play Media also offer options for audio description services. Audios descriptions can either be added manually in the UICapture online editor or ordered through 3Play Media for a ready-to-use solution.
