Global Accessibility Awareness Day Celebration and Webinar event we're holding Thursday, May 15 from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

As part of this event, we'll be viewing a webinar by Deque, a leading company in digital accessibility spaces. This training is designed for both newcomers and veterans alike, and will:

• help us learn what digital accessibility is and why it matters

• give us examples of how people with disabilities experience the web

• offer information on laws and guidelines that apply to our organization

• provide tips for championing accessibility on our campus

Global Accessibility Awareness Day is a chance for us to get talking, thinking, and learning about digital accessibility! We will provide lunch to attendees, thanks to the Office of Teaching, Learning, and Technology, as well as a space for those who are working in digital spaces to interact, get to know each other, and make connections. Lunch will be available starting at 11:30 a.m., and the webinar will start at noon.
