Katherine joined the Center for Teaching in spring 2020 as assistant director. She focuses on support for the pedagogical and professional development of graduate student instructors and oversees New Teaching Assistant Orientation as well as the Graduate Teaching Fellows program.

Prior to coming to the Center for Teaching, she was a graduate student instructional consultant at the University of Michigan’s Center for Research on Learning and Teaching, where she consulted with instructors and developed and facilitated workshops; she also taught freshman writing, ancient history, and Latin language courses. Katherine’s interests include writing instruction and assessment, inclusive pedagogy, and environmental history.
