The Academic Technology Advisory Council (ATAC) is seeking proposals from instructors for the Innovations in Teaching with Technology Awards (ITTA).

ATAC aims to enhance teaching and learning at the University of Iowa by funding the ITTA program, which supports innovative instructional technology projects with potential to directly impact student success and retention.

Proposals for the FY19 awards will be accepted Friday, September 14 through Monday, October 15, 2018. Projects should be new to the University of Iowa and include collaborative learning and the use of emerging technologies.

Since 2001, over 275 proposals have been submitted. Of those, 90 have been selected and over $1.5 million has been awarded.

Prior to submitting a proposal, applicants are encouraged to contact Steve Tomblin in Information Technology Services at 319-335-6271 or steven-tomblin@uiowa.edu for assistance in determining whether a project is suitable for the ITTA program.
