The sixth edition of the Handbook for Teaching Excellence is now available from the Office of Teaching, Learning & Technology Center for Teaching.  This popular, succinct booklet is an essential guide to teaching at Iowa that addresses questions such as “Who are my students?”, “How can I more actively engage them during class?”, and “What teaching technologies can enhance our teaching and learning experience?” 

The Handbook also provides a list of resources that support teaching excellence and the professional development of faculty members and TAs, as well as resources that enhance student success. 

Departments can request bulk numbers for instructors by completing an online request form or by contacting the Center for Teaching at teaching@uiowa.edu or 319-335-6048.  If your department does not request copies, please drop by the Center to pick up a copy.
